Public Notice - Environmental Permit Application Public Meeting PURPOSE OF NOTICE: To announce an informational public meeting regarding an application to modify an existing permit that allows the land application of biosolids and water treatment plant residuals in King William County. PUBLIC MEETING: Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 6:00 pm - County Administration Building located at 180 Horse Landing Road, King William, Virginia 23086. If King William County offices are closed on this date due to inclement weather, this meeting will be held at the same time and location on January 23, 2018. PURPOSE OF PUBLIC MEETING: For the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to exchange information with the interested public on technical issues related to the proposed permit modification such as: site-specific information that DEQ may consider when drafting the permit modification; the standard content of permits; and how the public can provide comment on a draft permit modification. That notice will include instructions on how to comment and/or request a public hearing on the draft permit. Based on comments received on the draft permit, DEQ may make a final decision on the permit, or hold a public hearing on the draft permit, in which case, the State Water Control Board would make the final decision on the permit.
