Legal Notice Agency: United States Air Force Management of Vegetation Airfield Clearances at Felker Army Airfield, Joint Base Langley Eustis-Fort Eustis, Virginia Final Draft Environmental Assessment The United States Air Force (USAF) invites public comments on the Management of Vegetation Airfield Clearances at Felker Army Airfield, Joint Base Langley Eustis-Fort Eustis (JBLE-Eustis), Virginia Final Draft Environmental Assessment (EA). The USAF announces the availability of the Final Draft EA, the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI), and the Finding of No Practicable Alternative (FONPA) for the Proposed Action for management of vegetation to ensure airfield vegetative clearances are in compliance with the Unified Facilities Criteria Airfield and Heliport Planning Design 3-260-01 to the maximum, practical extent. The Proposed Action is necessary to ensure the proper margins of safety for aircraft landings and take-offs at the Felker Army Airfield. The Final Draft EA and FONSI describe the potential impacts of the project alternatives on the natural and man-made environments.
